She went to Westmoreland Co. PA with her son Simon after her husband died. She is buried in the Catholic Cemetery there. | Biography* | The following was found on a Ruffner web site. It seems correct as it tracks mostly the same information that I have:. Simon Ruffner was born in 1687 in Europe and married Mary Barbara Schiltz who was born in 1706 and died on the 8th of Sept. 1803 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Simon died in April 1778. Simon Ruffner arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at " the 7th hour on September 2, 1743, aboard the "Loyal Judith", Captain James Cowey, Master." The ship was from Rotterdam and was "last from Cowes, England." Land was granted to him on Hockendauga Creek, Berk County, Pennsylvania. Mary Barbara moved to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in 1787 with her three sons: Christian, Simon and George Adam. | |
