Biography*  The Thomas family is of royal descent with the line going back to Edward 1, King of England and his second wife, Margaret, daughter of Philip III, King of France. (If you can believe Pedigree xxi of "Americans of Royal Descent" by Charles H. Browning, 1894 Vol. I, pp. 80-81)
