Hi: My name is Ray Campbell and I have written you before. I am descended from James Holland and Charity Barefoot. My Greatgrandfather Lawson G. Hudson married Prennila or Prunella Holland and her sister Marcella married Walker Hudson, Lawson's brother. I have done a lot of research and I think James and Charity seperated about 1840. I have traced Lawson and Walker Hudson to Oldtown in Conecuh County, Alabama in 1860 and 1870. In the 1860 census Charity is living with Henry Holland and his wife Nancy and she is 70 years old, I think it was mistakenly entered as 70 when it should have been 60.Then in the 1870 census she is living with Lawson and Prunella and she is listed as 70. I also found James Hudson married to Louisa M. in the 1860 census of Pulaski County, Georgia, but then in the 1870 census he is single again and living with twin daughters Mary and Elizabeth and Charity Hoolland 13. The Henry Holland looks like this family could have been the Hollands from Sumpter County Georgia who also had a Charity. I think the 1860 and 1870 Alabama Charity are two different people.

Margaret is correct. Perenial Holland who married Lawson Hudson was a daughter of Jethro and Charity Holland of Sumter Co. I am descended from their son Henry. To add to the confusion of two Charity Hollands, Jethro had a brother James Holland in Sumter about the same age as James Holland in Pulaski. They were from NC, not SC, however. 
Note* She She is no longer considered part of the current Holland family. Her father was Jepetha. 
Married Name Her married name was Hudson.

My cousin married Nell Lamb married a George Holland and I followed his name out on my Family tree maker as far I could go. He was the son of Rasmus J "Bud" Holland and Mattie Me Bellflower. And Rasmus was the son of Abaslon Holland. Then its Elisha Holland ((1810-1871) and Margaret Bryant (1816-Unknown) and then I believe its Lewis Holland (1777-1836) and Sarah Davis with no dates.(2006 - the Lewis Holland connection has be completely disproved.
