Birth*29 August 1866 Adeline M. Hollmeyer was born on 29 August 1866 at Cincinnati, Ohio, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH
She was the daughter of Louis Bernard Hollmeyer and Catherine A. Huber
MARRIAGE*circa 1886 She married Will F. Cochran, son of Holden Cochran and Seaford (?), circa 1886.
Death*19 January 1946  She is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery Sec. 113, Lot 6. At the time of her death she was living in her parents home at 3828 Reading Road.
According to Laura Steneck, ADDIE got the house when her father died. I don't think Laura inherited until Addie died, although Laura and Jay were living there...and Addie died at 3828....
Now Addie was left quite well off when Will Cochran died, so she may have transferred 3828 to her sister, so long as she could continue to live there until her death. Addied died in 1946. She was "laid out" in the music room at 3828. I remember going over there for her "wake" with mother and daddy.1

MARRIAGE*12 October 1904 She married James (Jay) Richards Woodrough, son of James Richards Woodrough, Sr. and Mary Julia Wilson, on 12 October 1904 at Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH, The Cincinnati Enquirer (probably 1904 fall) contained the following column:
Mrs. Julia Wilson Woodrough received Thursday afternoon at her home, Hale Avenue, Avondale, in honor of her son's bride, Mrs. James Woodrough (Laura Hollmeyer) The decorations in the hall were white chrysanthemums, and in the library yellow Chrysanthemums, while the dining room, like the parlor, was in pink - roses and smilax forming the decorations. Mrs. Julia Woodrough wore a handsome toilet of lavender crepe de chine with violets at her corsage. Mrs. James Woodrough wore her wedding gown and carried pink roses. Mrs. Hollmeyer, the bride's mother, wore black satin and assisted in recieving. Miss Riedesel, Miss Andrews, Miss Kinsley and Miss Teitig, who were Mrs. Woodrough's bridesmaids, wore their pink taffeta gowns made in 1830 style and carried pink rosebuds. They were also in the receiving line. Assisting throughout the various rooms were the Misses Mougey, Miss Stell Goss, Miss Clara Bartlett, Mrs. Alber Bell, and Mrs. Edmund Townsend; File contains Bride's wedding book with original invitation, pictures and newspaper clippings.
She had a note of congratulations from Luttia M. Clemson who lived in Tarpon Springs Florida. She said, "Grandmother better and joins me in congratulations on your wedding".

Residence*1966 She lived in 1966 at Cincinnati, Ohio
Note*2003 She Here's LWS's account of her grandmother: grandmother Woodrough lost it all in the stock market. She didn't trust the judgement of her broker, thought she could do it better, and ended up losing it all! I heard years ago that Jay's brother, Louis D. had borrowed over $50,000.00.and never repaid the loan. From what I have gleaned over the years, if it hadn't been for a Hollmeyer relative, Laura would have ended up at the Salvation Army home for women. It was her best friend Irene Buchert, I think her name was, that kept her in funds and food until her death. Laura gave a string of pearls to MVW in 2005. The pearls had a platinum clasp with the date of her child's birth inscribed. The pearls were fake. Laura surmised that her grandmother sold the real pearls when she needed money and replaced them with fakes. MVW had real pearls put with the clasp and gave them to Elena Woodrough. So ends the story of keep up apprearances. in 2003.

Note* He Hello,
I am a descendant of the Hollmeyer family. I am just beginning to delve into research into my family’s history and genealogy and came across your databases on RootsWeb.
Also, in your information on Rootsweb, you have noted that Irene Buchert and Richmond Joseph Hollmeyer had a child, Margaret Hollmeyer, and that Margaret Hollmeyer married James Fish. James’s correct name is James Sanford FISK, Sr. James and Margaret are my grandparents. James and Margaret had 6 children, one of which is my mother. Likewise, James’ father was Harley B. FISK as well. I just thought I would clarify that for you.
If you have any additional contacts, sources, or information you are willing to share about anyone in this family, I would be extremely grateful. I am trying to obtain as much information as possible so that I can construct an accurate genealogy of my family.
Thank you,
Megan Hatch.
