We have come to believe that Martha Mullis, 1st wife of Pryor/Prior, was the daughter of Solomon Mullis, born ca 1795 and Nancy (Austin) Sasser, a widow. Solomon was the son of James Marshall Mullis, Sr., and Mary Blackston(e). Name most likely Blackstone, as one of their children was named Blackstone Mullis, born ca 1800, he married a Mary Austin. James Marshall, Sr. was the son of John Mullis and Margaret Brumbelow.

Uncle George and Aunt Mary Ann lived in that old house that used to be across the road from Jerry's present house. That was the same house we moved into while ours was being built and the bricks from the old chimney were the ones I used when I built the first walk at Mama's and Papa's house before I built the cement one. We always referred to them as Cousin Fanny and Mr. Hawk and they lived back there in the edge of the woods where Aunt Ann (colored) woman later lived."
